Is Aerion design for pollution filtration only?
We use a novel active purification technology called electrostatic precipitation that is effective against both pathogens and particulate matter/dust.
How does Aerion compare with basic personal protective equipment (PPE)?
Unlike the standard face masks that suffocate you and leave your eyes exposed, Aerion Air Shield creates a shield to protect you from pollutants and microbes outdoors by actively cleaning the air you breathe. Aerion filters out PM2.5 dust and microbes.
How does Aerion filter air? How is it processed step by step?
The product uses patent-pending miniature electrostatic precipitator modules in series to eliminate microbes and particulate matter in the air. The dust particles and microbes in the incoming air are ionized and passed through a series of metal chambers on which they get deposited. The clean air coming out of these dust collection chambers is directed towards your nose. These metal chambers can be easily removed and cleaned for maintenance.
Has the product been tested? What’s the testing history?
We have completed CE certification testing and performance testing by independent labs. We have also tested our product’s effectiveness against bacteria in NABL (https://nabl-india.org/) accredited laboratory.
How do I clean/disinfect my shield?
Aerion has a removable dust chamber for easy cleaning. You can also detach the Visor if you need to. We recommend using alcohol wipes.
